Julia is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with her Master's of Science from George Mason University. Prior to graduate school she worked as a nurse for ten years in the field of obstetrics, serving four years as an active-duty nurse in the Air Force. During her time in bedside care, she developed a desire to pursue the field of preventative medicine.
She has a passion for weight management and health promotion because she saw the positive impact it has on the health of her patients' lives.
She also highly values the sacrifices of our service members and their families and loves when she can help care for them and improve their quality of life. Julia is originally from West Virginia but has been able to live in Alaska and Hawaii before settling down in Northern Virginia with her husband and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, trying new foods, and traveling.
