We are a growing multi location Obesity & Weight Management practice seeking an experienced Front desk receptionist/Medical Assistant with EMR experience (Athena EMR experience is a plus) to add to our clinical team in Charlottesville, VA. The candidate must reside within the Charlottesville or a close surrounding area and be looking for a position to grow within the practice. This position could potentially lead to a managerial role for the right person. References will be required.
Responsibilities include:
- Greets patients, obtains referral information and indicates their arrival
- Registers patients accurately, efficiently and professionally to ensure data integrity and facilitate timely claims processing, as well as, collecting patient liabilities at point of service.
- Creates accurate and complete accounts in information system by obtaining and verifying all necessary information.
- Applies financial screening guidelines and payer requirements to secure financially collectible patient accounts.
- Willing to cross train and do vital signs for patients.
- Escorts patients from entrance to dressing or exam rooms, and performs patient appointment confirmations and screenings (Blood Pressure/Weight).
- Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
- Demonstrates knowledge of customer service concepts.
